China is in the lead to the race to 6G

According to the China National Intellectual Property Administration, China tops the global battle to build usable 6G network technology, having patented 35% of the over 38,000 patents related to the technology.

China has already managed to patent artificial intelligence. Still, it is unclear how it would enable networks that run at terahertz frequencies, which are 1,000 times higher than the frequencies now utilized in 5G technology gigahertz microwaves.

The Asian tech behemoth expects to begin deploying fully functional 6G technology in 2030, with data transmission rates of roughly 50 gigabits per second, which is ten times faster than the current most secured M.2 SSD storage.
