TikTok is launching a job-hiring feature similar to LinkedIn.

TikTok videos increasingly contain career advice, with influencers sharing tips on how to land internships, ace job interviews, and improve resumes with their fans. In addition, according to Axios, TikTok is moving closer to LinkedIn territory by pilot testing a recruitment service that would allow recruiters to find potential candidates on the network through video introductions.

The recruiting service, according to Axios, cited anonymous sources, would be a separate page with mostly entry-level jobs. Recruiters were drawn to TikTok because of its 700 million global users. Recruitics, a marketing firm, recently recommended several strategies for companies to attract job applicants from various industries.

ByteDance, the Beijing-based business that owns TikTok, announced that the hashtag #careeradvice has racked up 80 million video views by mid-February 2021.
